Dr. Paul is a 1997 graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has been in the Whistler-Pemberton area for 10 years and loves the family chiropractic practice she has developed. She has been the owner of Pemberton Valley Wellness since 2008. She loves the valley and feels blessed to live in Pemberton. When she isn’t at the office, you may catch Dr. Paul out walking her dog, skiing on the Blackcomb, hitting the mountain bike trails or maybe even waterskiing on Gates Lake!
She takes a particular interest in pediatrics and pregnancy. Educating the community about the importance of chiropractic for infants and children is one of Dr. Paul’s many goals. Ensuring that children have a healthy, mobile spine is essential for proper growth and development. It is as important as seeing the dentist and the eye doctor. Problems can be detected and corrected before they become a serious problem. Let her know if you have any questions or concerns. Chiropractic is safe and effective for kids of all ages!

Chris has been involved in the study and practice of alternative medicine for approx 20 years. Always looking for a more efficient and natural method of healing for his own health issues led him to explore treatment options in Massage, Chiropractic and herbal medicine from the time he was 16 years old. Following what seemed best for his health led to formal studies in reiki, meditation, martial arts, qigong, yoga etc as well as undertaking his Bachelor of Science in Natural Health and finally a 4 year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). After completing his B.Sc. Chris headed to Japan for 3 years to further pursue his passion for the physical arts and train in various Aikido and Karate dojos around Japan. After returning from Japan and starting his training in Chinese Medicine including daily training in the internal martial arts of Tai Chi and QiGong, he finally had the tools to rid himself of 10 years of Chronic low back pain. With this training and the help of many other healers, Chris finally experienced that it is possible to attain amazing health. This understanding that the body has the capacity to maintain and heal itself drives Chris to share this with others who are needlessly suffering. These arts have been taught and used on millions of people in China for thousands of years, giving them tools to naturally prevent illness and to build one’s health. Along with Acupuncture and the tools of TCM, Chris also incorporates Cranio Sacral Therapy into his work. Combining this quiet, pain free and gentle modality has been a great compliment to his healing practice as well as his own healing. These practices continue to be a part of his own daily health maintenance routine – following what he was taught by his teachers in China, Japan and Canada.
Cathy Benns R.M.T., C.P.M.T.Cathy Benns first began her connection to massage early in life. Training as a competitive gymnast she learned the many ways that the body can be stretched, strengthened and challenged. Massage came naturally to Cathy as it was part of the daily competitive training regime. Doing and receiving massage helped to inspire her to further her understanding of the human body.
Cathy studied Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University, completed her Health and Fitness Certificate, Aerobics Instructor Training and Personal Trainer Certificate. She went on to study Massage Therapy at the Okanagan Valley College of Massage. Since graduating in 1999, Cathy moved to Whistler and quickly built a practice of active clientele. She furthered her studies in myofascial release to help treat the many sports injuries that presented in the office.
Cathy moved to Pemberton in 2002, and shifted some of her focus to pregnancy and family care. She took courses in pre and post natal fitness, visceral manipulation (organ massage), and pediatric massage therapy. Cathy loves to be able to walk to work and is proud to be a part of the Pemberton Valley Wellness Team. She enjoys the many activities that the valley offers, and continues to teach gymnastics. Cathy is happy to be raising her family in such a wonderfully supportive and connected community.
